  To use the provisional quantity feature, users must first enter a provisional quantity in the meter reading entry screen. This provisional quantity will then be used to calculate the estimated consumption for the current period until the actual meter reading is entered. The provisional quantity can be changed at any time before the actual meter reading is entered. 
  
  Tips & Tricks: 
  It is important to enter an accurate provisional quantity in order to ensure that the estimated consumption for the current period is accurate. If the provisional quantity is too low, then the estimated consumption will be too low and vice versa.
