The standard MRP run is used within the supersession planning horizon. Outside of this planning horizon, a modified MRP run is used. This modified run deletes non-firmed, planned receipts and does not create any new, planned receipts. The system still takes into account the planning horizon for MRP, which you can set in Customizing, even if the supersession planning horizon stretches further into the future.
