What is activity filter in SAP ICM - Incentive and Commission Management (ICM)?

  • Component Name: Incentive and Commission Management (ICM)

  • Description: Incentive and Commission Management Determines the activity types according to contract type that is allowed for a standard commission contract for remuneration. &EXAMPLE& When a commission contract is ended with a particular contract type, the commission contract partner must not be paid any commission from new, replacement or adjustment business. However, the partner is still entitled to remuneration for the maintenance of in-force business.

    Activity filters are used in ICM Incentive and Commission Management to define the criteria for which activities should be included in a commission calculation. Activity filters can be used to limit the activities that are included in a commission calculation based on criteria such as date, product, customer, or salesperson. 
    
    How to use it: 
    Activity filters can be created in ICM Incentive and Commission Management by selecting the “Create Activity Filter” option from the main menu. From there, users can select the criteria they wish to use to filter activities. Once the criteria have been selected, users can save the filter and apply it to a commission calculation. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When creating an activity filter, it is important to consider all of the criteria that may be relevant to the commission calculation. For example, if a commission calculation is based on sales of a particular product, then it is important to include a product filter in the activity filter.
