What is postdating in SAP FS-PM - Policy Management?

• Description: The parking of new business or the change of a contract or policy, which may be necessary in situations where not all the required data is available for it to enter in-force business. Once the conditions for postdating no longer apply, the system automatically removes postdating. At this point, the postdated new bu siness or the postdated changes enter in-force business.

  When postdating payments or documents, it is important to remember that the postdated date must be in the future. If the postdated date is in the past, the payment or document will not be processed.
