What is key date in SAP FS-PM - Policy Management?

  • Description: Date on which a new system goes live and replaces the legacy system. Different data subsets belonging to the same application may have different key dates.

  • Key Concepts: 
    A key date is a date that is used to determine the validity of a policy in the FS-PM Policy Management component of SAP. It is used to define the start and end dates of a policy, as well as any other dates that are relevant to the policy. 
    
    How to use it: 
    In order to use key dates in FS-PM Policy Management, you must first create a policy. Once the policy has been created, you can then set the key dates for the policy. This can be done by selecting the “Key Dates” tab in the policy editor and entering the desired dates. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When setting key dates for a policy, it is important to make sure that all of the dates are accurate and up-to-date. This will ensure that the policy is valid and will be enforced correctly.
