What is prenote type in SAP FS-AM-IM - Item Management?

  • Description: A grouping of prenotes that can be set in Customizing. You can define whether the prenote is relevant to posting control, if only one particular plus/minus sign is permitted or if it can be created automatically.

    Prenote type is a feature in SAP FS-AM-IM Item Management that allows users to create a prenote, which is a document that contains information about an item that is to be delivered.     In order to use the prenote type feature, users must first create a prenote type in the system. This can be done by navigating to the “Prenote Type” tab in the SAP FS-AM-IM Item Management module. Once a prenote type has been created, users can then assign it to an item in order to generate a prenote for that item.
