  • Key Concepts:
A reversal document is a type of document used in SAP Financial Accounting (FI) to reverse the effects of a previously posted document. This document is used to correct errors or to cancel out the effects of a document that has already been posted. Reversal documents are used to ensure that the financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

    How to use it:
In order to create a reversal document, you must first identify the original document that needs to be reversed. Once you have identified the original document, you can create a reversal document by entering the same information as the original document, but with the opposite sign. For example, if the original document was a debit, then the reversal document would be a credit. Once you have entered all of the necessary information, you can post the reversal document and it will cancel out the effects of the original document.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a reversal document, it is important to make sure that all of the information is entered correctly. If any of the information is incorrect, then it could lead to inaccurate financial records. Additionally, it is important to note that reversal documents cannot be used to reverse documents that have already been reversed.
