SAP Term: package rule

Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
A package rule is a feature of SAP BusinessObjects Financial Consolidation (EPM-FC) that allows users to group multiple consolidation tasks into a single package. This allows users to quickly and easily manage multiple tasks at once, such as consolidating multiple entities or running multiple consolidation cycles.

    How to use it:
To use package rules, users must first create a package in the Package Manager. This can be done by selecting the “Create Package” option from the Package Manager menu. Once the package is created, users can add consolidation tasks to it by selecting the “Add Task” option from the Package Manager menu. Finally, users can run the package by selecting the “Run Package” option from the Package Manager menu.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a package, it is important to give it a descriptive name so that it is easy to identify later on. Additionally, it is important to ensure that all of the tasks in the package are related and should be run together. This will help ensure that all of the tasks are completed correctly and efficiently.
