What is member in SAP EP-VC - Visual Composer?

  • Component Name: Visual Composer

  • Description: An element of a dimension that represents one or more occurrences of data. A member can be unique it occurs only once or non-unique it may occur more than once in its dimension. For example, in a geography dimension that includes cities in the US, the member Portland could be non-unique, since there is a city called Portland in the state of Oregon and in the state of Maine.

    A member in SAP Visual Composer is an element that is part of a larger structure. It can be a data object, a process, or a view. Members are used to create complex structures and relationships between objects. 
    
    How to use it: 
    Members can be added to a structure by dragging and dropping them from the palette onto the canvas. Once added, members can be connected to other members to create relationships. Members can also be edited by double-clicking on them and changing their properties. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When creating complex structures, it is important to keep track of the members and their relationships. To do this, you can use the “Show Members” feature in Visual Composer which will display all the members in the structure and their connections.
