What is Interactive Excel in SAP EC-CS - Consolidation?

  • Component Name: Consolidation

  • Description: The integration of SAP with the spreadsheet system Microsoft Excel. A consolidation unit can use Interactive Excel in two ways: The unit can decentrally enter its financial data in user-defined matrices, transfer this data to an Microsoft Access database of the offline entry program, and forward the data to a central SAP System. The unit can enter the financial data directly online and forward the data from Interactive Excel to an SAP System. For reporting purposes, the consolidation data can be displayed in user-defined matrices and be further processed using the spreadsheet functions of Microsoft Excel.

    To use Interactive Excel, users must first log into the SAP system and select the EC-CS Consolidation component. Once in the component, users can select the “Interactive Excel” option from the menu. This will open an Excel spreadsheet with data from the SAP system.
