Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Import is a feature of SAP Master Data Governance (CA-MDG) that allows users to upload data from external sources into the system. This data can be used to create new master data records or update existing ones. The import feature supports various file formats, such as CSV, XML, and Excel.

    How to use it:
To use the import feature, users must first create an import template. This template defines the structure of the data that will be imported and includes information such as field names, data types, and validation rules. Once the template is created, users can upload their data files and map them to the template fields. The system will then validate the data and create or update master data records accordingly.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating an import template, it is important to ensure that all required fields are included and that the data types are correct. Additionally, it is recommended to use validation rules to ensure that only valid data is imported into the system.
