What is import in SAP BC-VCM-LVM - Landscape Virtualization Management?

SAP Term: import

Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Import is a feature of the Landscape Virtualization Management (LVM) component of SAP. It allows users to import virtual machines (VMs) from other systems into their SAP landscape. This enables users to quickly and easily deploy new VMs in their environment, without having to manually configure them.

    How to use it:
To use the import feature, users must first select the source system from which they want to import the VM. This can be either an external system or an existing SAP system. Once the source is selected, users can then select the VM they want to import and specify any additional settings, such as memory and CPU requirements. Finally, users can initiate the import process, which will copy the VM into their SAP landscape.

    Tips & Tricks:
When importing a VM, it is important to ensure that all of the necessary settings are specified correctly. This includes memory and CPU requirements, as well as any other settings that may be required for the VM to function properly in the SAP landscape. Additionally, it is important to ensure that all of the necessary software and drivers are installed on the VM before it is imported.

    Related Information:
