There are two types of number assignment: Internal When the data record is saved, the SAP system grants a sequential number from the corresponding number range interval automatically. External The number is assigned by the user or an external system. The number must be located in the corresponding number range interval. &EXAMPLE& Domestic business partner: Number range 01, number range interval 100000 - 199999, internal assignment Foreign business partner: Number range 02, number range interval 200000 - 299999, external assignment
