Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
An alias table is a feature of SAP BusinessObjects Information Design Tool (IDT) that allows users to create a single table with multiple names. This allows users to refer to the same table in different ways, making it easier to work with complex data models.

    How to use it:
To create an alias table, open the IDT and select the “Alias Table” option from the “Create” menu. Enter the name of the table you want to create an alias for, and then enter the name of the alias. You can also specify additional properties such as description and data type. Once you have created the alias, you can use it in your queries and reports just like any other table.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating an alias table, make sure that you use a descriptive name that will make it easy to identify later on. Also, be sure to keep track of all your aliases so that you can easily find them when needed.
