  • Key Concepts:
A shadow repository is a copy of the original repository in SAP systems. It is used to store the changes made to the original repository during an upgrade process. The shadow repository is used to ensure that the original repository remains unchanged and that any changes made during the upgrade process are reversible.

    How to use it:
The shadow repository is created when an upgrade process is initiated. It is used to store all changes made to the original repository during the upgrade process. Once the upgrade process is complete, the shadow repository can be compared to the original repository to ensure that all changes have been successfully applied.

    Tips & Tricks:
It is important to ensure that the shadow repository is regularly backed up during an upgrade process. This will ensure that any changes made can be easily reversed if necessary. Additionally, it is important to ensure that all changes made to the shadow repository are tested thoroughly before being applied to the original repository.
