Component: BC-SRV-REP
Component Name: Report Tree
Description: Set of criteria that determine the content of a report. A report variant lets you determine which rows, texts and columns the SAP System displays when you call up a report.
Key Concepts: A report variant is a feature of the SAP Report Tree (BC-SRV-REP) that allows users to save different versions of a report with different parameters. This allows users to quickly access different versions of the same report without having to re-enter the parameters each time. How to use it: To create a report variant, open the report in the SAP Report Tree and enter the desired parameters. Once the parameters are set, click on the “Save As” button and enter a name for the variant. The variant will now be available in the list of variants for that report. To access it, simply select it from the list and click “Execute”. Tips & Tricks: When creating a report variant, it is important to give it a descriptive name so that it can be easily identified later. It is also helpful to include notes about what parameters were used in the variant so that users can quickly determine which version of the report they need.
