Component: BC-SRV-QUE
Component Name: SAP Query
Description: An area in that includes a completed and consistent set of query objects. Such objects include queries, functional areas and user groups. We differentiate between two query areas: 1. Standard query area Query areas are created and managed by the client are not connected to the Workbench Organizer The transport into another system requires manual rework. We recommend the standard query area for the editing of ad hoc queries and for the execution of previously-defined queries. 2. Global query area Query objects are used across the system cross-client are connected to the Workbench Organizer We recommend the global query area for editing a centrally-used query object This is where the SAP-delivered query objects are.
Key Concepts: A query area is a logical grouping of queries in SAP Query. It is used to organize and manage queries in a hierarchical structure. It is also used to control access to the queries within the query area. How to use it: To create a query area, go to the SAP Query menu and select “Create Query Area”. Enter a name for the query area and select the authorization group that will have access to the query area. Then, create the queries that will be included in the query area. Tips & Tricks: When creating a query area, it is important to consider who will have access to it and what type of queries will be included in it. This will help ensure that only authorized users can access the query area and that all queries are relevant to the purpose of the query area.
