  • Key Concepts:
Result type is a component of the Business Rule Framework (BRF) in SAP. It is used to define the output of a rule set, which is the result of a decision tree. Result types are used to define the structure of the output, such as the data type, length, and format.

    How to use it:
Result types are created in the BRFplus workbench. The user must define the name, description, and data type of the result type. The user can also specify whether the result type is mandatory or optional. Once created, the result type can be used in a rule set to define the output of a decision tree.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a result type, it is important to consider how it will be used in a rule set. For example, if the result type will be used to store numerical values, then it should be defined as a numeric data type.
