What is root Certification Authority in SAP BC-SEC - Security?

  • Description: The highest Certification Authority in a PKI. All users of the PKI must trust it. Its certificate is signed with a private key. There can be any amount of CAs between a user certificate and the root Certification Authority. To check foreign certificates, a user requires the certificate path as well as the root certificate.
