  • Key Concepts:
Declarative authentication is a security feature in SAP BC-SEC Security that allows users to authenticate themselves without having to enter a username and password. Instead, the user's identity is verified by a third-party authentication service, such as an identity provider or an authentication token. This type of authentication is often used in conjunction with Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.

    How to use it:
To use declarative authentication, the user must first register with the third-party authentication service. Once registered, the user can then log into the SAP system using the credentials provided by the third-party service. The user's identity is then verified by the third-party service and the user is granted access to the SAP system.

    Tips & Tricks:
When using declarative authentication, it is important to ensure that the third-party authentication service is secure and reliable. Additionally, it is important to ensure that the user's credentials are kept secure and not shared with anyone else.

    Related Information:
Declarative authentication is often used in conjunction with Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions. SSO solutions allow users to log into multiple applications with a single set of credentials, eliminating the need for multiple usernames and passwords. Additionally, SSO solutions can provide additional security features such as two-factor authentication and access control lists.
