What is declaration type in SAP SLL - Global Trade Services?

  • Description: Goods that are transported or traded across customs borders need to be declared to the customs authorities and placed into a specific customs procedure or kept under the supervision of the customs authorities. Either the owner of the goods or a representative may declare the goods. Depending on what is to happen with the goods, there are different types of declarations for different customs procedures. For example, goods that are being exported out of the European Community customs territory need to be declared using an export declaration. Goods being shipped from a third country into the European Community may be declared using a pre-arrival declaration. There are also reimport and reexport declarations.
