In archive file conversion, the system creates new archive files for each grouping of data objects resulting from ILM rules that have retention conditions in common and also writes the grouped data objects into the new archive files. In the following step, the ILM-compliant archive files that were created are transferred to the archive hierarchy in the ILM Store.
