SAP Term: access key

  • Description: Key or key combination pressed by the user to move the keyboard focus directly to a UI element without triggering its function. Examples: Key combination Alt + e to open the Edit menu Key combination Alt + [letter or number] to set the keyboard focus on a UI element


Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts: 
    An access key is a unique identifier used to authenticate a user in SAP. It is used to grant access to certain areas of the system, such as the BC-FES Frontend Services subcomponents. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To use an access key, a user must first obtain one from their system administrator. Once they have the key, they can enter it into the authentication field when prompted. This will grant them access to the areas of the system that are associated with the key. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    It is important to keep your access key secure and not share it with anyone else. If you think your access key has been compromised, contact your system administrator immediately.
