• Description: Long text objects are translated in the long text editor. In systems on a Basis Release up to and including 7.02, translators work in a SAPscript-based long text editor. When a translator opens a long text object for translation in a system on Basis Release 7.31 or higher, it is converted automatically from its original format such as SAPscript to XML. All formatting information and technical links are stored in protected XML tags. When the translator saves an active version of his or her translation, the text is converted back to the original format.
