• Description: An SAP MMC snapshot is used to freeze the status of an SAP system as you currently see it in SAP MMC. Later you can display the snapshot offline in SAP MMC. An active network connection to the SAP system is therefore not necessary for analysing the status later. Usually a snapshot does not contain any files in original format. Rather, it is a collection of Web service responses from the application server to SAP MMC. Snapshots are provided in a ZIP archive. The single files are XML files with an HTTP header. If a data collector is available in the SAP system, it can add further infornation to the snapshot.
