  • Key Concepts:
A subclass is a type of ABAP class that is derived from a superclass. It inherits all the attributes and methods of the superclass, but can also add its own attributes and methods. Subclasses are used to extend the functionality of existing classes, allowing for more complex and specialized behavior.

    How to use it:
In order to create a subclass, you must first create a superclass. Once the superclass is created, you can then create a subclass by using the CREATE SUBCLASS statement. This statement will create a new class that inherits all the attributes and methods of the superclass. You can then add additional attributes and methods to the subclass as needed.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a subclass, it is important to remember that any changes made to the superclass will also be reflected in the subclass. Therefore, it is important to consider how changes to the superclass may affect the subclass before making any changes. Additionally, it is important to ensure that any new attributes or methods added to the subclass do not conflict with those of the superclass.
