Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
RFC destination is a type of communication channel used in SAP systems. It stands for Remote Function Call destination and is used to connect two SAP systems or components. It is a secure connection that allows data to be exchanged between the two systems.

    How to use it:
In order to use an RFC destination, you must first create it in the SAP system. This can be done by going to the transaction code SM59 and selecting “Create”. You will then need to enter the details of the remote system, such as its IP address, port number, and user credentials. Once the RFC destination has been created, you can use it to send data from one system to another.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating an RFC destination, make sure that you enter all of the necessary information correctly. If any of the details are incorrect, the connection will not be established and data will not be able to be exchanged between the two systems.

    Related Information:
RFC destinations are part of the BC-ABA ABAP Runtime Environment component in SAP systems. This component is responsible for providing a secure connection between two SAP systems or components. It also provides other features such as logging and debugging capabilities.
