What is pop-up level in SAP BC-ABA - ABAP Runtime Environment?


SAP Term: pop-up level

  • Component: BC-ABA

  • Component Name: ABAP Runtime Environment

  • Description: Hierarchy level of a GUI window. The first GUI window that appears in a logon to AS ABAP has the popup level 0. Higher popup levels are created by stacking modal dialog boxes using the statement CALL SCREEN or CALL SELECTION-SCREEN. The maximum popup level is 9.

    Pop-up level is a feature of the ABAP Runtime Environment (BC-ABA) in SAP. It is used to control the display of pop-up windows in the system. Pop-up levels are used to determine which windows are displayed and when they are displayed. 
    
    How to use it: 
    Pop-up levels can be set in the ABAP Runtime Environment (BC-ABA) by selecting the “Pop-up Level” option from the menu. The user can then select the desired pop-up level from a list of available levels. The user can also specify whether or not a pop-up window should be displayed when a certain action is taken. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    It is important to remember that pop-up levels are only applicable to the ABAP Runtime Environment (BC-ABA). Pop-up levels do not affect other components of SAP, such as the GUI or Web Dynpro.
