What is publishing status in SAP AP-RFQ - SRM RFQ Processing?

  • Description: A status variable describing whether a request for quote has already been published or whether a request for information has already been sent to the assigned suppliers or is still in preparation.

  • Key Concepts: 
    Publishing status is a feature in SAP SRM RFQ Processing that allows users to control the visibility of their RFQs. It is used to determine whether an RFQ is visible to all users or only to certain users. The publishing status can be set to either “Published” or “Unpublished”. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To set the publishing status of an RFQ, go to the “RFQs” tab in SAP SRM RFQ Processing. Select the RFQ you want to change the publishing status for and click on the “Edit” button. In the “Publishing Status” field, select either “Published” or “Unpublished”. Click “Save” to save your changes. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When setting the publishing status of an RFQ, it is important to remember that only users with the appropriate permissions will be able to view unpublished RFQs. It is also important to note that once an RFQ has been published, it cannot be unpublished.
