validity period - Details

  • Key Concepts: Validity period is a feature of the AP-MD Master Data component in SAP. It is used to define the period of time during which a master data record is valid. This period can be set to start and end on specific dates, or it can be set to never expire.
How to use it: To use the validity period feature, you must first create a master data record in the AP-MD Master Data component. Once the record is created, you can set the validity period by selecting the “Validity Period” option from the menu. You can then enter the start and end dates for the validity period, or select “Never Expire” if you do not want the record to expire.
Tips & Tricks: It is important to remember that any changes made to a master data record will only take effect during its validity period. If you make changes to a record that has already expired, those changes will not take effect until the validity period is reset.
