What is residence time in SAP AP-MD - Master Data?


SAP Term: residence time

  • Component: AP-MD

  • Component Name: Master Data

  • Description: The length of time that must be exceeded before application data can be archived. Depending on the application, the basis for calculating the residence time can be the creation date, the posting period, the goods issue date,and so on. The residence time is usually given in days. For example, if the residence time is 90 days, all of the data that has been in the database for more than 90 days will be archived during the next archiving phase. Data that is only 60 days old is not archived.
