  Cause:
  This error occurs when you are required to enter a characteristic value for a characteristic that is defined with the category CHAR (characteristic with single value) in a classification or variant configuration scenario, but the system detects that no value has been entered.
  In SAP Variant Configuration or Classification, characteristics can have different categories such as CHAR (single value), NUM (numeric), DATE, etc. When a characteristic is defined as CHAR, the system expects a single character/string value to be entered. If this is missing or left blank, the system throws the WY102 error.

  During classification of objects (e.g., materials, equipment, documents) when assigning characteristic values.
  In variant configuration when entering or maintaining characteristic values.
