  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You want to use infocube &V3& to procure actual data. Two preconditions
must be fulfilled before actual data for a particular periodicity can
be updated to the database table for your planning step:
All the characteristic fields used for planning this periodicity must
be defined in the relevant infocube.
Key figures(for example, business volume) refer to units or currencies
(for example, US dollar). This link must be reflected in the infocube
    fields:
If an infocube field is entered for a planning scenario key field, and
the infocube in question contains it, the following is valid: The
infocube must contain the infocube field that was entered for the unit
/ currency field that represents the reference field for the key figure
    field in question.
This is not valid for field &V1& to which infocube field &V2& is
assigned. Infocube &V3& does not contain infocube field &V2&.

    How to fix this error?

Adjust your planning levels and assignments or extend the infocube to
    include field &V2&.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message WXP565 - Infocube &3 does not contain planning scenario field &2 ?

Certainly! Here's a detailed explanation for the SAP error message:

    SAP Error Message:

WXP565 Infocube &3 does not contain planning scenario field &2

    Cause:

This error occurs when you try to use a planning scenario field in a query or planning function, but the underlying InfoCube does not contain that particular field. In other words, the field you are referencing in the planning scenario is not part of the InfoCube's data model.

    • The planning scenario expects certain fields (characteristic or key figure) to be present in the InfoCube.
    • If the InfoCube does not have the field (characteristic or key figure) defined, the system cannot perform planning operations on it.
    • This often happens if the planning scenario was created or modified without synchronizing or checking the InfoCube structure, or if the InfoCube was changed after the planning scenario was created.

    Solution:

    1. Check the InfoCube Structure:

      • Go to transaction RSA1.
      • Navigate to the InfoCube mentioned in the error message (&3).
      • Verify if the field (&2) exists as a characteristic or key figure in the InfoCube.
    2. Add the Missing Field to the InfoCube:

      • If the field is missing, you need to add it to the InfoCube.
      • This involves:
        • Adding the characteristic or key figure to the InfoCube.
        • Activating the InfoCube.
        • Possibly reloading or adjusting data if necessary.
    3. Adjust the Planning Scenario:

      • If the field should not be part of the InfoCube, then remove or adjust the planning scenario to exclude the field.
      • Use transaction RSPLAN or the relevant planning scenario maintenance transaction.
      • Synchronize the planning scenario with the InfoCube structure.
    4. Recreate or Adjust Queries:

      • After fixing the InfoCube or planning scenario, adjust any queries or planning functions that reference the field.
      • Make sure the queries are consistent with the InfoCube and planning scenario.
    5. Transport and Testing:

      • After changes, transport the objects if necessary.
      • Test the planning scenario and queries to ensure the error is resolved.

    Related Information:

    • Planning Scenarios: Planning scenarios in SAP BW are used to enable planning functions on InfoCubes. They define which fields are used for planning.
    • Transactions:
      • RSA1: Data Warehousing Workbench, to check InfoCube structure.
      • RSPLAN: Planning scenario maintenance.
      • RSRT: Query monitor, to test queries.
    • SAP Notes: Sometimes SAP releases notes related to planning scenario inconsistencies or InfoCube structure changes.
    • Documentation: Refer to SAP BW Planning documentation for detailed steps on maintaining planning scenarios and InfoCubes.

    Summary:

The error WXP565 indicates a mismatch between the planning scenario fields and the InfoCube structure. The solution is to ensure that the InfoCube contains the field used in the planning scenario or to adjust the planning scenario to match the InfoCube.
