Since the system requires the weight unit to perform statistical updates (e.g., updating stock quantities, delivery weights, or billing statistics), the absence of this information causes the error.
  Typically, this happens when:
  
  The material master does not have a weight unit defined.
  The document is created without specifying the weight unit.
  The configuration for weight units is incomplete or inconsistent.
  The weight unit field is left blank during data entry or data transfer.

  Check Material Master Data:
  
  Go to transaction MM03 (Display Material).
  Check the Basic Data view for the material's weight unit (field: Base Unit of Measure and Weight Unit).
