What causes this issue?

Create generic material and variants of a generic material.

System Response

If you want to create variants of a generic material,
<ZH>just one</> variant must be selected as the copy template for the
generic material (header): You selected
<ZH>more than one</> variant as the template, therefore the variants of
the generic material must be excluded from further processing.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Select one variant as the copy template for the generic material
(checkbox).
