How To Fix WP318 - You cannot display this document

SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: WP - Messages from POS interface

  • Message number: 318

  • Message text: You cannot display this document

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The document cannot be displayed, since, although a document number was
issued, this was not saved on the database.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

This was done for reasons of performance.
Documents are used to document changes to objects relevant to business
management. Even when a document is not saved, as in this case, the
changes are still made that would have been documented in the
    document.
Although the document is not in the database, a number has been issued
    for document flow.
This only happens if the document is not required for subsequent
    processes (such as for audits).

    System Response

This message is for information only. The system is operating
    normally.

    How to fix this error?

If you wish documents to be created in such a situation, you can usually
do this by making the relevant Customizing settings for the application
    concerned.
