What causes this issue?

You want to use a trading contract with contract type &V1& as a copy
template for a trading contract with contract type &V2&.

System Response

Using both contract types you can create one-sided contracts. Copying
with reference is only useful in this case if the new trading contract
and the reference contract have the same side.

How to fix this error?

For your reference contract choose a trading contract that has the same
side as the trading contract you wish to create.
