    SAP Error Message:
W_DSD_01005 Entered sales price of material &1 in store &2 cannot be saved

    Cause:

This warning message occurs in SAP when you try to save a sales price for a material in a particular store (or distribution channel/plant) but the system does not allow it due to certain configuration or master data restrictions. Common causes include:

    • The sales price entered is outside the allowed price range or price control limits defined in the system.
    • The material master or pricing condition records are not properly maintained or are locked for changes.
    • The store (plant or distribution channel) is not correctly assigned or authorized for price changes.
    • There might be a mismatch or missing configuration in the pricing procedure or condition records related to the material and store.
    • The system might be set to prevent manual price changes for certain materials or stores.

    Solution:

To resolve this issue, consider the following steps:

    1. Check Material Master Data:

      • Verify the material master (MM03) for the relevant sales views (Sales Org. 1, Sales Org. 2, Plant) to ensure the material is correctly maintained for the store.
      • Check if the material is flagged for price changes or if there are restrictions.
    2. Review Pricing Conditions:

      • Use transaction VK13 to display pricing conditions for the material and store.
      • Check if the condition records exist and if the entered price is within allowed limits.
      • If necessary, update or create condition records using VK11 or VK12.
    3. Check Pricing Procedure and Access Sequence:

      • Ensure the pricing procedure assigned to the sales area includes the relevant condition types.
      • Verify that the access sequence can find valid condition records for the material and store.
    4. Authorization and Configuration:

      • Confirm that the user has authorization to change sales prices for the material/store.
      • Check if there are any custom validations or user exits (e.g., in SD pricing) that prevent saving the price.
    5. Check Store/Plant Assignment:

      • Verify that the store (plant or distribution channel) is correctly assigned and active in the sales area.
      • Ensure that the store is not blocked or restricted for pricing changes.
