What causes this issue?

Either you entered no material group and no material or you entered a
material group and a material.

How to fix this error?

Enter either a material, more than one materials or a material group.
If your selection leads to a list of materials, the system first
displays the total stock of all materials. You can then go to the
actual stock overview for a selected material.
