What causes this issue?

Class specific information about the value domain of the given
characteristic has been maintained both in class maintenance
(transaction CL01-03) and in class-to-superclass allocation (transaction
CL22N).

System Response

The system will determine the resulting class specific value domain as
the intersection of the value domains maintained in the above
transactions.
In some cases this can lead to a different behavior than observed in the
ERP variant configurator.
