What causes this issue?

The <GL:batch>batch</> is marked for deletion.

System Response

An error message is given when this batch is manually entered in the
delivery. If this error occurs when a delivery is being created for a
sales order, the order item will not be delivered.

How to fix this error?

Specifying a batch in the delivery
Enter a valid batch.
Creating a delivery for a sales order
Correct the order item as appropriate.
