What causes this issue?

You have tried to create an original batch for a production order or a
purchase order item.
The material master does not allow you to create original batches for
the header material of the production order or the material in the
purchase order item.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Maintain the 'Original Batch' indicator in the material master.
