  • What causes this issue?

    The cost center must be assigned to the standard hierarchy for the
    corresponding controlling area.

    System Response

    If this message is a warning, you can still save the data. If this is an
    error message, you first have to assign the cost center to the standard
    hierarchy.

    How to fix this error?

    To assign the cost center to the standard hierarchy, you need to choose
    the entity type <LS>cost center group</> and the relevant controlling
    area in mass processing. This takes you into hierarchy maintenance where
    you can assign the cost center to the standard hierarchy.
    If the standard hierarchy does not appear in the list of hierarchies, it
    still has to be created. You can do this using single maintenance or
    from hierarchy maintenance.
