USMD2313
- Specify values either for all fields of entity type &1 or for no field ?The SAP error message USMD2313 indicates that there is an issue with the data being processed in the Master Data Governance (MDG) application. Specifically, it occurs when you are trying to create or change a record for an entity type, but the system detects that some fields are filled while others are not. This inconsistency leads to the error because the system expects either all fields to be populated or none at all.
Cause:
The error is typically caused by one of the following scenarios:
- Partial Data Entry: Some fields of the entity type are filled in while others are left blank. The system requires a complete set of values for the entity type.
- Configuration Issues: The configuration of the entity type may require all fields to be filled based on the business rules defined in the MDG system.
- Data Model Constraints: The data model for the entity type may have constraints that enforce the requirement for all fields to be populated.
Solution:
To resolve the error, you can take the following steps:
Complete Data Entry: Ensure that you fill in all required fields for the entity type before saving or processing the record. If you do not have values for all fields, consider leaving all fields blank.
Review Configuration: Check the configuration settings for the entity type in the MDG system. Ensure that the settings align with your business requirements and that they are correctly set up to allow partial data entry if that is desired.
Consult Documentation: Review the documentation for the specific entity type to understand the requirements for data entry. This may provide insights into which fields are mandatory and how they should be populated.
Testing: If you are a developer or have access to the development environment, you can test the entity type with different combinations of filled and unfilled fields to identify the specific fields causing the issue.
Seek Help from SAP Support: If the issue persists and you cannot identify the cause, consider reaching out to SAP support for assistance. They can provide guidance based on the specific configuration and version of your SAP system.
Related Information:
