- Initialization of table &1 not yet completed ?The SAP error message UR008, which states "Initialization of table &1 not yet completed," typically occurs in the context of SAP's data dictionary and is related to the initialization of database tables. This error indicates that the system is trying to access a table that has not been fully initialized or populated with the necessary data.
Cause:
- Incomplete Initialization: The table in question has not been initialized properly. This can happen if the initialization process was interrupted or not executed at all.
- Transport Issues: If the table was transported from another system, the transport might not have included the necessary initialization data.
- Database Issues: There may be issues with the database connection or the database itself that prevent the table from being accessed correctly.
- Custom Development: If there are custom developments or modifications that interact with the table, they may not be handling the initialization state correctly.
Solution:
Check Initialization Status: Verify if the initialization process for the table has been completed. You can do this by checking the relevant transaction codes (like SE11 for Data Dictionary) or using specific reports that check the status of table initialization.
Reinitialize the Table: If the table has not been initialized, you may need to run the initialization process again. This can often be done through specific transactions or programs designed for this purpose.
Check Transport Logs: If the table was recently transported, check the transport logs to ensure that the initialization data was included and that there were no errors during the transport.
Database Consistency Check: Run database consistency checks to ensure that there are no underlying issues with the database that could be causing the problem.
Review Custom Code: If there are custom programs or enhancements that interact with the table, review the code to ensure that it correctly handles cases where the table may not be initialized.
Consult SAP Notes: Check the SAP Support Portal for any relevant SAP Notes that may address this specific error message or provide guidance on initialization issues.
Related Information:
If the problem persists after trying the above solutions, it may be necessary to involve your SAP Basis team or SAP support for further investigation.
