SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: UPP_LB - Layout Builder: Messages

  • Message number: 018

  • Message text: The positions of the areas in the layout were set to standard values

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You have made changes to the planning layout which can result in an
automatic adjustment of the data areas in the Excel worksheet. Such
adjustments may be necessary, for example, if you insert new data
columns or change the number of characteristics in the header area.
<ZH>Note</>: This message also appears if you change the selection of
characteristics and key figures in the planning level and this results
in changes to the layout. In this case, the system automatically starts
functions to ensure consistency. This includes reorganizing the layout.
<ZH>Restriction</>: In certain circumstances, this message may appear
but just before carrying out the organization, the system determines
that (in contrast to the message) no adjustments are necessary. In this
case, you can ignore the message and your work remains complete in the
    status you have defined.

    System Response

The system reorganizes the positions of all data areas on the worksheet
so that the layout matches the changes you have made and can be used
immediately. If you have already made positional changes in the
worksheet (moving data areas, adding blank rows etc.), these changes
    are lost.

    How to fix this error?

If you have not made manual changes to the worksheet generated by the
system, you need not take any further action. However, if you have made
positional changes and still require these, you must make the changes
again. In this case, it is advisable to wait with the manual changes
until all other planning layout settings are definite and will no
    longer be modified.
Changes that have no effect on the position of the data areas, for
example, character formats, background colors, number formats, etc.,
are not subject to the reorganization carried out by the system.
Changes of this type remain as defined by you.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
