What causes this issue?

Numeric variable &V1& is used, but no value was previously entered for
this variable.

How to fix this error?

Maintain the value of variable &V1&. You can either do this in the
maintenance of variables (if the variable has the replacement type
'fixed value' or 'user-specific values') or with the help of the 'Set
Variables' function (if the variable has the replacement type
'user-specific values' and the indicator 'Input Allowed by User' is
set). If the variable of the replacement type is 'user exit', the exit
must deliver a value.
