How To Fix UMB284 - Period '&1' from scorecard '&2' cannot be closed.

SAP Error Message - Details

• Message type: E = Error

• Message class: UMB - SEM-CPM: Balanced Scorecard

• Message number: 284

• Message text: Period '&1' from scorecard '&2' cannot be closed.

What causes this issue?

Either the period is already closed or it is not immediately adjacent
to the last closed period (Note: There cannot be an open period between
closed periods).

System Response

The action is canceled.

How to fix this error?

Call up the period closing log in the Balanced Scorecard Monitor (
<DS:TRAN.UMB_ADMIN>Start function</>) under <LS>Edit -> Period closing
log</>. You can then check which periods are already closed and change
your entries accordingly.

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
