What causes this issue?

It is <ZH>not</> possible to display the characteristic hierarchy for
characteristic &V1&, because you have not yet specified unique values
for the parent characteristics, the hierarchy, or the hierarchy version.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Choose <LS>Hierarchy</>.
A dialog box appears on which you can enter values for the parent
characteristics, the hierarchy, or the hierarchy version.
