What causes this issue?

While reading the structure of hierarchy &v1& of characteristic &v2&
from RFC destination '&v3& ', the system has discovered that the
hierarchy contains ranges.
The following error occurred while breaking down the ranges into single
values:
&v4&

System Response

The system will continue reading the hierarchy, if possible. You can
expect that hierarchy &v1& will not be completely read.

How to fix this error?

Try to find and correct the cause of the error. Then repeat the action.
If the error persists, contact SAP.
